The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) is looking into whether it can help customers affected by the shut-down of Carleton Credit Union Limited in Portadown.
The FCSC said it was working with the company and the Prudential Regulation Authority to explore possibilities for compensating consumers, following the announcement that the credit union had given up its permissions.
