The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has set up a multi-employer pension scheme for its members in preparation for auto-enrolment.
The organization will also offer free telephone-based financial advice, or face-to-face support for a fee, for employers considering joining the scheme.
Advice will be provided by Independent Financial Services, the FSB said.
The scheme, provided by Scottish Widows, is only open to FSB members and their employees.
It will provide smaller employers with access to the economies of scale larger companies enjoy, FSB said.
There is no minimum or maximum workforce requirement to join the scheme.
The news comes after NOW: Pensions, the Danish rival to the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST), revealed its product details yesterday.
