Sanlam UK has bolstered its newly-established distribution department with two senior appointments from Canada Life and Buckles as the company looks to partner IFAs in the post-RDR world.
Chris Allatt (pictured), who started his career with a 10-year stint at the old Inland Revenue, joins as senior technical consultant from Canada Life where he was senior tax consultant.
Rick Eling joins as head of IFA investments from Buckles Investment Services where he designed and built the firm's risk-profiling, asset allocation and portfolio selection tools.
"These two key appointments bolster the team and bring our range of market leading products and services to IFAs and their clients," says Sanlam UK head of distribution Nigel Speirs.
"Chris and Rick have important roles to play in building the relationships upon which our philosophy of partnering with IFAs is founded, most notably in a post-RDR world".
Sanlam's distribution department was established earlier this year by Nigel Speirs with the aim of developing and implementing a strategy for the distribution of the group's products and services.
