Credit Suisse has moved to boost its multi-manager sales arm by hiring Serge Chiaramonte from Lehman Brothers, who is the first of three new faces set to join the firm.
Chiaramonte will be responsible for selling Credit Suisse’s single strategy hedge funds into the European fund of funds community. He has nearly 20 years banking experience at Lehman Brothers, Deutsche Bank AG and American Express Bank.
Credit Suisse has also taken on Reyer Kooy as head of money market sales. He joins from JP Morgan Asset Management where he worked for six years in relationship management and as vice president of institutional liquidity fund sales.
Both will report to John Kremer, managing director and head of EMEA institutional distribution at Credit Suisse.
The firm’s third hire is Andy Lawley, who will be responsible for consultant relationships within UK institutional distribution and also joins from JPM.
Kremer says: “I am delighted to welcome Serge, Reyer and Andy to the asset management business at Credit Suisse.
“These new appointments reflect Credit Suisse’s commitment to expanding our team and continuing to grow our institutional distribution team and driving the business forward.
"I look forward to having Serge, Reyer and Andy on board.”
