Zurich has appointed Mike Quinton as managing director of retail and partnerships.
He replaces Mark Searles, Zurich's UK chief marketing officer, who has overseen the retail business since the beginning of the year.
Quinton, who will start work in the New Year, will take responsibility for broadening Zurich’s product and underwriting capacity distribution.
He will report to Guy Munnoch, chief executive officer of UK general insurance at Zurich and Theo Bouts, chief executive officer of direct and partnership Europe.
Quinton joins from Royal Bank of Scotland, where he worked as corporate partnerships director, managing director of Churchill Insurance and most recently, managing director, RBS Household and Life.
Adrian Saunders, who has acted as interim managing director for partnerships this year, will take up a senior role in the industry early next year.
