Winterthur Life has added another fund to its Elite managed range in the hopes its conservative investment strategy will suit risk-wary investors.
The Elite Distribution Managed life & pension fund, which will be available to both pension and investment bond investors, is the fourth fund to be added to Winterthur Life's Elite Balanced managed Fund range launched in the end of 1999.
Other funds include the Cautious, the Balanced and the Stockmarket Elite Managed fund.
The Distribution funds will target a yield in excess of 125% of the FTSE All Share yield and will be available in the defensive managed sector.
Winterthur Life says the fund aims to combat future stockmarket uncertainty , and adds its investment strategy - including its conservative bond/equity split, its diversified structure and its high exposure to fixed interest rate - is suitable for cautious investors.
Bernhard Henshall, investment distribution manager at Winterthur Life, says: "Defensively managed funds are still very much in favour with investors because although they have a high bond allocation they still offer exposure to equities.
This fund has been put in place in response to this and from IFAs who are looking for investment providers to make asset allocation and fund selection decisions through fund of funds offerings," he adds.IFAonline
The forces at play in investment - most obviously, regulatory change, uncertain markets and shifting demographics - are as strong today as they were when Professional Adviser launched its sister magazine Multi-Asset Review in 2017.
