Increasingly, I hear the view that, in five or 10 years' time, there will only be four or five advised platforms left in the UK - although, in fairness, it is a view most often articulated by people who work for large platforms. For my part, I don't agree. I think there will be fewer than there are today - and the core functionality will become more commoditised - but a double-digit number should persist for many years yet.
