Anthony Bolton intends to subscribe for 2.5 million shares priced at £1 each in his new China Special Situations trust.
Fidelity International will be subscribing for 15 million shares with BRJ Bateman, vice-chair of FIL, looking to invest £1m. These subscriptions will not be subject to any scale back. The trust's capital raising begins today, with up to 650 million shares to be issued at £1, and will run to 5 April. This is ahead of a 19 April admission to the London Stock Exchange. The Offer for Subscription must be received by midnight on 5 April 2010 and applications under must be for a minimum of £2,500.
