FSA: Managers must be fair

The FSA has called on senior managers of firms to keep driving home the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) initiative.

A survey carried out by the regulator – designed to assess whether companies were meeting the six principles of the TCF report - revealed 33pc of companies believed the biggest barrier to implementing TCF was senior management buy-in. The FSA also found 23pc of firms said it was hard to implement TCF because of the quality of staff at the company, while 11pc struggled because of the cost of implementation.
