JS&P Towry Law appoints non-executive chairman

JS&P Towry Law has appointed Glyn Jones, former chief executive of Thames River Capital LLP, as non-executive chairman of the group.

The announcement follows the acquisition of IFA firm Towry Law in May 2006 by JS&P to create one of the largest independent wealth management businesses in the UK. Jones was previously chief executive of Thames River Capital from 2005 to 2006 and chief executive of Gartmore Investment Management from 2000 to 2004. He was chief executive of the Coutts Group between 1997 and 2000 and prior to that he ran Standard Chartered’s international private arm from 1994 to 1997. Jones is also a chartered accountant.
