Coventry makes finance director CEO

Coventry Building Society has announced the appointment of David Stewart as its new chief executive.

Stewart joined the board of Coventry Building Society in February 2002 as finance director and was appointed operations director in April 2003. He officially became chief executive of the Society on 1 July 2006. Prior to joining the Society, Stewart worked for nine years at DBS Management, where he was finance director and then chief executive. He is a graduate of Warwick University and a chartered accountant, having trained and qualified with KPMG in Manchester.
