John Tierney, head of retail at Dresdner RCM, has resigned from the company after less than a year in the role. Tierney joined Dresdner from Invesco Perpetual at the start of the year. His position will be filled internally by Nick Smith, currently head of marketing, who will also retain his marketing role. It is understood that Smith will be assisted in his new position by head of communications Tessa Murray. The resignation follows the announcement that Daniel White, manager of the European Smaller Companies trust had left to join Newton, as reported in Investment Week...
