The Association of British Insurers says that a survey of 1,100 people who recently made claims on loan and mortgage protection policies sold by its members found that many consumers are still being fobbed off by companies slow to process claims. The dissatisfaction is caused by companies not providing enough information to claimants about who to contact or how long their claims will take to process. The survey is the fist of its kind to benchmark ABI members' performances in handling claims, and the association is set to follow up with another survey in six months' time. ...
