New Star Asset Management has expanded its international team, in a bid to continue supporting offshore life companies.
James Rushmere has been appointed international investment services adviser, while Claire O'Toole is international marketing executive. Both will be based in the London office.
Rushmere will help to develop international relationships in addition to adapting the New Star fund range to match investor's requirements, especially those in Europe, the Far East, Middle East, Africa and South America.
He joins New Star from Old Mutual International, where he worked as an investment marketing manager.
O'Toole will assist in the development and implementation of the marketing strategy, to promote the group's international business.
O'Toole was previously a senior market intelligence analyst at Skandia.
Cobus Kruger, director of mutual funds, said: "Life companies present a great opportunity for New Star to reach potential investors on a global basis."
