National IFA firm Foster Denovo has appointed former Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) supervisor Jane McTigue as compliance and risk director.
McTigue's (pictured) supervisory role at the FCA required her to manage relationships with two of the UK's top life assurance groups and other advisory companies.
Prior to this, she spent 18 years at St James' Place.
She takes over from interim head of compliance Alan Taylor who had been in the role since Scott Soper's resignation as compliance director in June 2013.
McTigue said: "Foster Denovo is an exciting business to be joining at this time, and I was keen to be given the opportunity to help take the company forward in the post-RDR world."
Foster Denovo chief executive Roger Brosch said: "I am delighted that Jane has joined the business. She was successful against a number of high quality candidates following a robust and rigorous search and selection process. Her addition to the executive will further strengthen and complete the team. "
Foster Denovo completed its buyout from Tenet in 2007.
