Adviser firm Informed Choice has appointed Fidelity FundsNetwork to run its direct to consumer (D2C) platform, IC Direct.
FundsNetwork will provide the custody, dealing and administration services for the proposition, which will target consumers with between between £20,000 and £40,000 of investable assets.
FundsNetwork head of sales, Paul Richards, said D2C propositions run by adviser firms would be a major opportunity for platforms in 2013.
"We see considerable growth opportunities in the non-advised market, as intermediaries look to offer new and innovative solutions for self-directed investors.
"Through recent deals, FundsNetwork has been demonstrating its expertise in this area and we are pleased that we have been chosen by IC Direct to power its platform."
Informed Choice managing director Martin Bamford (pictured) said IC Direct would offer "a compelling proposition to self-directed investors".
