Lighthouse Group will roll out an advice service to support advisers on complex pension issues.
The IFA and wealth management group's service, Lighthouse+, will allow advisers to refer cases knowing their clients will be dealt with by in-house advisers with specialist expertise.
As the FSA increases scrutiny of retirement planning advice, Lighthouse+ offers specialist counsel following FSA guidelines with niche software to support it.
Lighthouse+ takes full liability for the advice it gives and operates on a fee or commission split basis with the IFA. Furthermore, a no cross-selling guarantee allows IFAS to retain control of clients.
The areas of advice covered are: money purchase pension reviews, final salary pension review, retirement options, annuities as well as pensions and divorce.
"Pension funding is a critical issue at the moment, and in an environment with constantly evolving options it is important to ensure that IFAs have the specialist support required," says Mark Wilson, head of Lighthouse+ Pensions Service.
He believes this service will help IFAs meet their TCF requirements.
The advice service is the first in a series of packages to be launched by the firm under the Lighthouse+ brand, designed to support Lighthouse advisers and enhance other IFAs' offerings.
