Paradigm Mortgage Services and Aegon have teamed up to announce a series of business protection workshops for members taking place in June.
The half-day, morning workshops will take place in Birmingham, London and Manchester throughout June. The workshops will begin on 9 June in Birmingham and end on 30 June in Manchester.
Bob Hunt, chief executive of Paradigm, said business protection was a potentially lucrative market for advisers and it wanted to equip Paradigm members less familiar with this market with all the tools and know-how to get the most out of their time and investment.
He explained: "The workshops are suitable for all - advisers who attend may have little or no knowledge of the sector or they may just be rusty about the business protection market. Others may be looking for further opportunities and are willing to review their client bank for prospects.
He added: "With many business owners unprepared and unprotected for the unforeseen circumstances which may affect their firms, advisers can use the skills and knowledge gained from these workshops to deliver peace of mind to their client base."
Andy Walton, national account manager at Aegon, said mortgage advisers were likely to be looking for new income streams in the current financial climate to help boost their business.
He concluded: "It is not as complicated as you might think and advisers may well have existing clients who would benefit from business protection."IFAonline
