TCF Info, a website designed to help mortgage intermediaries with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) regulation, has received the support of two more lenders.
Backing from Principality Building Society and Mortgage PLC brings the number of lenders supporting the site to 28.
TCF Info says it has been instrumental in helping intermediaries get to grips with the new regulation and receives over 17,000 visits a month.
Following the announcement, national intermediary sales manager at Principality, Greg Janes, says: “We are delighted to lend our support to an initiative which is clearly succeeding in helping brokers understand and get on with what they need to do in order to implement TCF.”
Frank Eve, chairman of TCF Info’s lender forum, says support for the initiative show the lending industry’s commitment to embedding TCF within their own business structures and is helping smaller broker firms to comply.
“[Growing support for the site] is excellent news for smaller introducers who, without compliance departments, may still be struggling to understand what they need to do in order to meet the TCF deadlines - and excellent news for their end customers who stand to reap the benefits,” he says.
