Investors can get income and capital gains tax relief on donations of shares to charity according to the Giving Campaign, which has launched a publicity drive targeting financial advisers. The fundraising body is targeting high net worth individuals through intermediaries and is to provide leaflets to advisers spelling out the potential benefits to clients in April. The organisation, largely funded by the Inland Revenue, is lobbying to integrate tax-effective donations into the existing adviser training curriculum. For details, go to www.givingcampaign.org.uk.
