Standard Life Investments has appointed Mary English as head of US equities for its recently established Boston office. English, who previously worked at Fidelity, joined Standard Life last week from Freedom Capital Management Corporation where she was a partner and equity portfolio manager. The appointment follows Standard Life's decision to expand its global presence, a plan that has seen it expand its Hong Kong presence from an initial staff of six to 13 people. English will be joined in the US by Ronnie Petrie, who is currently the head of the Asian ex-Japan equity team in Edinburgh...
