F&C is trying to carry on with business as usual where possible, according to officials, in a bid to accommodate investor requirements.
Philip Childs at F&C says fund trading will be suspended on products if there are questions about the accuracy of pricing, or if stock exchanges are closed.
Childs adds it is the nature of the financial services industry to keep going during difficult conditions or circumstances, so F&C will accommodate investors where they can.
