Fund and product launches are starting to slow down as the Isa season draws to a close. However, many groups are continuing to promote existing ranges through discounts and enhanced commission rates.
Up and coming launches:
l 1 April Old Mutual is planning to relaunch its Worldwide fund as an actively-managed portfolio.
l 18 April Hugh Priestley is to run the forthcoming Rathbones Global Titans unit trust.
l 30 April Royal & SunAlliance is to launch an aggressively-managed UK fund with a concentrated portfolio of between 40 and 50 stocks. The portfolio is to be called the UK Prime Fund.
l March/April SG Asset Management is to offer retail versions of its US institutional fund and institutional UK corporate bond funds.
l May Lombard Odier is to offer a sector tranche of its sector and regional equity funds into the UK market. The group will add financials, greater China and life sciences to its portfolio.

l M&G is preparing a European Technology fund for the second quarter.
l GAM is to launch a US retail fund later in the quarter, to be run by James Abate.
l Jupiter Asset Management is to bring out a unit trust investing in zero dividend preference shares.
l JO Hambro is to launch a UK Smaller Companies Oeic, to be run by Max King.
l Jupiter is looking to bring out a fund of funds and fund of hedge funds before the end of the first quarter.
l KBL Investment Funds is to offer a North American sub-fund this year in conjunction with US group Phoenix Investment Partners.
l Lindsell Train Asset Management intends to launch a global media content fund in the middle of this year.
l Royal & SunAlliance intends to bring out a series of funds with focused portfolios. These will include: International Prime Fund; European Prime Fund; and North American Prime Fund.

l Artemis UK Special Situations unit trust, run by Derek Stuart.
l Hargreaves Boutique Trust, managed by Lee Guardhouse. The fund of funds invests in the portfolios of boutique investment firms.
l Williams de Broe is offering a split capital investment trust enabling investors to capitalise on the buy-to-let market.
l Sagitta Asset Management launched a healthcare fund this month with a bias towards biotechnology. The portfolio is managed by June Scott.
l The Liontrust Knowledge Economy Trust, managed by Anthony Cross.
l Henderson Global Investors launched a closed-end fund of hedge funds, to be run by John Husselbee. Hendersons has also launched three funds of funds: Independent International, Independent Balanced and Independent Distribution.
l Baring Asset Management launched its leading sectors fund, investing in technology, healthcare, financials, media and telecoms.
l Aberdeen European Champions, to be managed by Stephanie Gerrard.
l Lombard Odier Investment Management Services has introduced three high conviction equity funds for UK IFAs.
l Close Fund Management has brought out an ethical index tracker based on the FTSE's 4Good UK index.
l Norwich Union has added six socially responsible investment funds to its range.
l Artemis has launched its European Growth, to be run by Philip Wolstencroft.
l ABN Amro Fund Managers has launched UK Select Opportunities Fund. Nigel Thomas and James Cotton are managers.
l Axa Global High Income. Range of aggressive managed equity funds: Axa UK Opportunities, Axa World Opportunities and Axa European Opportunities.

l M&G has launched its Global Financials, Global Basics and Global Media and Communications funds.
l BGI has launched four iShare funds which will track the latest indices by Bloomberg, including European technology, European telecoms and financials indices.
l Britannic Asset Management global sector funds. Technology, healthcare, financials and resources.
l Credit Suisse Asset Management Global Technology, Media and Telecoms fund.
l Edinburgh Fund Manager's Leveraged Income Trust. A rollover vehicle for the firm's New Tiger Trust, which is to be wound up soon.
l Gartmore Focus funds. American Focus, European Focus, UK Focus, Japan Focus and Global Focus.
l Aberdeen Asset Managers has launched two separate VCTs, the Aberdeen Growth VCTI and VCTII.
