Private equity VCT Baronsmead is looking to raise £14m from private investors. According to directors, nn the three years to 30 September 2002, Baronsmead VCT has outperformed the FTSE All-Share index by 36.1% (FTSE All Share -31.3%, Baronsmead 4.8% pretax). "As we are fully invested, this fund raising will enable the portfolio to move towards 50 investments in a well-diversified portfolio of mainly established and profitable companies," says Gill Nott, chairman of Baronsmead.
