Axa is looking to launch a Dublin manager of managers fund range in the first half of this year.
The move, subject to regulatory approval in Ireland, would see Axa following an established path for setting up an institutional manager of managers operation. Northern Trust and Aon are two of the other groups with Dublin-based ranges.
Neil Jenkins, managing director of Axa MultiManager, said: 'We believe it is a very attractive environment for multi-manager.'
The domicile provides a platform for selling into the UK and Europe, while custodians and administrators in Dublin have developed systems for dealing specifically with multi-manager, Jenkins added.
The range is to be run by Axa's 26-strong global investment team based in London, Paris and New York. The group already offers two onshore manager of managers funds ' Select Growth and Select Income ' and four onshore funds of funds.
