Do we really need to learn from "professionals"?
Ask any consumer why they would refrain from legal advice and they will tell you - fees! On the other hand ask them if they would prefer a no win no fee basis where advice has no cost unless a win is achieved and they will say yes, in spite of the fact that the lawyer get 3X the fee.
Commission is the solution not the problem. Note you are unable charge fees for intangibles that are "sold" not purchased. Nobody dies until they are dead and nobody retires until they retire and the majority of the population will not pay a fee to be reminded of their predicament.
