Henderson Global Investors Asian fund manager Heather Manners is not expected to return from sick leave before the end of the year. Managing director Simon Ellis said Manners, who has been on leave for several months due to an unspecified illness, will definitely be returning to the company. Manners' co-manager John Crawford has taken full control of their £196.2m Henderson Pacific Capital Growth fund as well as the Horizon Pacific offshore fund and the Asia Pacific Absolute Return hedge fund.
