Barclays is reorganising its three IFA businesses under a single structure, Barclays Independent Financial Planning (BIFP). The three groups, Sedgwick, Woolwich IFA Services and Barclays Financial Management, will retain their current brands but their sales teams will report to a single management structure within BIFP. These changes are leading to job losses. The five sales director posts between the three groups have been reduced to two and the number of regional sales managers is being halved to six.
