Some 80% of independent advisers spend less than 35% of their time advising clients. That is one of the findings of an online poll conducted by First Software, which found that no firm questioned spends more than half its time advising clients. Those questioned blamed inefficient technology and regulatory and legislative demands on their time for this state of affairs.
