Treasury sets up Sandler steering group

Investment Week understands the Treasury is to hold a meeting on 9 October to discuss how it intends to move forward with Ron Sandler's proposals. While it is unclear what this meeting will cover, the Treasury is already in the process of setting up a steering committee to work on the design of Sandler's proposed suite of stakeholder products. The committee is to consist of the industry trade bodies, including the ABI, the IMA and Aifa. Work will be done by the committee, including a look at the 1% cap, before the Government issues any further consultation.
