HSBC Asset Management has appointed Chris Cheetham as its global chief investment officer, replacing Bryce McDonnell who retired in October. Cheetham is to join from Axa Investment Management, where he has held the global CIO role since January 2000. He was previously managing director of Axa Equity & Law Investment Managers from 1996.
