Investec Wealth & Investment has appointed Nicholas Jones as divisional director and head of the firm's Birmingham office, replacing Adrian Quin who has been promoted to regional director of Midlands and South West.
Jones (pictured) has held a number of roles in the firm including investment director and senior investment director where he was responsible for managing a range of private client portfolios in the Midlands.
In his new role, he will be responsible for growing the Birmingham office's private client base and its partnerships with financial advisors.
Reporting to Tom Street, managing director at IW&I, Quin takes over as regional director from Colin Lewis, who is retiring.
Quin will be responsible for overseeing IW&I's offices in Bath, Bournemouth, Exeter, Cheltenham and Birmingham.
Street said: "I am delighted to announce these two new appointments. Both Nicholas and Adrian have contributed to the substantial development of the Birmingham office and in building our presence in and around the Midlands.
"I know both will continue to ensure IW&I provides clients with the highest level of service as the firm looks to grow our client base."
Jones said: "There are significant opportunities across the wealth management market in Birmingham and the Midlands region.
"Increased corporate activity, for instance, is presenting more opportunities to support entrepreneurs as they look to realise value from their businesses.
"I am delighted to be given the chance to build and grow on the momentum we have in the market and lead a fantastic team of investment and financial planning specialists."
