Credit Suisse loses head of equities

Credit Suisse's head of equities Kim Goodwin has left the firm after less than two years in London.

Cesar Perez, head of European equities, has been promoted to replace Goodwin, who has returned to New York to work as a consultant. She joined Credit Suisse in September 2006, having previously held a role at State Street Investment Research. Credit Suisse said Goodwin's departure was her own decision, and she had left on amicable terms. The firm asserted that Goodwin had achieved her mandate for building the UK equities business - she has recruited around 20 managers in the last 18 months, including Perez and the firm's UK equities team, headed up by Graham Ashby.
