Bolton exit pushes funds into limelight

OLD Mutual's £795m UK Select Mid Cap and Rensburg's £72m UK Mid Cap Growth funds have been tipped to take on significant inflows after Fidelity announces the new manager of its Special Situations fund.

Data and research provider Financial Express believed the two offerings were best situated to benefit from any fallout from the Fidelity vehicle depending on who stepped into the breach when Anthony Bolton departs. Fidelity is set to unveil the new manager tomorrow morning (May 15), but Financial Express was keen to highlight a number of funds which had outperformed Bolton’s vehicle over the last three years ahead of the appointment.
