Barings poaches BlackRock product development head

Baring Asset Management has appointed Katie Bowmar as head of product development.

Bowmar has joined from BlackRock where she spent over 10 years in product development. Most recently she was co-head, international product development, covering all markets outside the US. She was also a member of the senior management product development committee and chaired the derivatives operation group. Bowmar has taken up her new role today, reporting to George Harvey, head of sales, client service and business development.
