BRIGHT Grey has marked its fifth anniversary by publishing its first set of claims statistics for life and critical illness.
Since launch, Bright Grey has paid out over £20m in life cover and over £14m in critical illness cover. The largest critical illness claim the company has paid was £260,000 and the largest life insurance claim paid was £1.65m. The average size of critical illness claim paid in the past year was £77,000. The average age of critical illness claimants was 43 for men and 40 for women, with 42pc of critical illness claims relating to cancer.
