Skandia launches 'bull and bear' seminars for IFAs

SKANDIA is set to run a series of seminars for advisers on investment strategies and solutions for both bull and bear markets.

The seminars, to be held from today until 21 March, will consider the strategies available for lowering risk on clients' portfolios. The focus will be on portfolio construction using risk profiling and asset allocation tools. Changing portfolios following an update to asset allocation is a discretionary activity and requires advisers to write regularly to their clients. Regular rebalancing can also give rise to the same issue and can be a chargeable event for CGT. The seminars will consider the investment solutions that can help advisers avoid these issues.
