Canada Life reduces policy fees for business

CANADA Life Group Insurance has reduced the policy fee for business written through the eQuotes module of its CLASS system to £100.

eQuotes is a system that offers intermediaries the ability to obtain quotations for schemes of between three and 100 online members. The group said its price reduction reflects a sharing in the cost efficiencies achieved through the online portal, following a recent extension to allow intermediaries to complete the ‘on risk’ process online. It added that the average new business premium on all aspects of the group protection business has fallen by 8pc for life assurance, 4.5pc for income protection and 11pc for critical illness.
