The IFA golfers taking to the Brabazon course at The Belfry and the Marquess course at Woburn faced contrasting weather conditions. Rob Kingsbury talked to some of the eight qualifiers looking ahead to the final.

Players in the fifth qualifier of the Investec Structured Products Open 2012 were brought in off The Belfry's Brabazon course as thunder and lightning again threatened to disrupt this year's tournament. However, such is the quality of the prestigious Midlands-based Ryder Cup course, and the drainage, that eventually every player completed the course and four of their number are now looking forward to the final of the Open at Turnberry on 27 September.
