Jourdan joins Noble in First State VCT exit

FIRST State has exited the VCT market with the completion of a deal that sees smaller companies specialist and head of UK equities Paul Jourdan join Noble Fund Managers, Professional Adviser has learned.

Noble will take on investment management of the First State AIM VCT and act as sub-advisor on the Australia-based fund manager’s British Smaller Companies fund under the terms of the contract. Jourdan, described by Noble as a “big catch”, is due to join Noble in June and will continue to run both portfolios. First State is left with just one UK equity manager and fund run in house, the £18m British Opportunities portfolio, managed by Caspar Trenchard.
