IFAs and investment trust fund managers expect far East and emerging markets investments to be the top performing markets in 2005 in terms of returns, suggests a joint poll by the AITC and IFA Promotion .
According to the study of 32 investment trust firms and over 360 IFAs, there is some agreement on the potential for riskier markets next year, however, IFAs and fund managers disagree on their own hot tips for 2005. According to the survey, 38% of IFAs tip smaller companies as a good investment in the short-term even though the oil price will continue to generate problems in the market, while investment trust managers actually took a different perspective and prefer blue chips or financial investments.
