The Consumers Association has proposed a seven-point plan to solve the pensions crisis ahead of the Government's response to the green paper. The plan includes the introduction of compulsion and a simple two-tier system with an improved flat-rate Basic State Pension. The body also called for a new role for state and industry so that financial advice can be accessed by the mass market.
