The FSA will not get any feedback on whether stakeholder decision trees actually work after life offices refused to supply information, saying the process is too costly. The regulator has backed down on a number of reporting criteria it had proposed stakeholder product providers should supply, after the groups involved complained the requirements were too onerous. Pressure from providers came in response to consultation paper 103, published in August last year. They argued that providing the information would be unfair under the 1% regime.
