Tim Scholefield has joined Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (Swip) as head of international research and global sectors. He takes over from Graham Wood, who was recently promoted to chief investment officer, equities and retail. Scholefield will have overall responsibility for global sector research and research conducted by the US Japanese, Asia Pacific and emerging markets teams. Additionally, he will run global mandates with the global strategy desk. Scholefield worked at Royal & SunAlliance Investments until it merged with Friends Ivory & Sime last year.
