Standard Life has hired Rod Paris as head of global fixed income following the departure of Will Hay, who resigned from the life company on Monday. Paris' arrival at the group was arranged before Hay's departure, clearing the way for Paris, the former Merrill Lynch Investment Managers head of global bonds, to take over responsibility for Standard Life's global fixed interest team.
