The LeggMason Investors Income & Growth split-capital trust is to repay £19.6m in bank debt and an additional £1.5m in breakage costs. The decision is a result of further weakening in equity markets and will be financed by the liquidation of part of the trust's UK equity portfolio. As a result of the move, the trust's assets will stand at £30.4m to bank borrowings of £22.3m.
