The split-capital Yeoman investment trust, managed by boutique Exeter-based BC Asset Management, has begun paying down its outstanding debt. It has paid down £1.9m of its total debt of £25m to the Royal Bank of Scotland at a cost of £165,000 to the trust. It is just one of the many troubled split capital trusts to seek to reduce gearing and incur breakage costs.
