Investec launches shareholder financing service

Trustees currently use Investec’s service to facilitate wealth diversification strategies for clients with concentrated single stock positions and to assist with the acquisition of strategic stakes in quoted companies. Investec will now consider providing funding against a wide range of assets, including shares listed on most recognised exchanges as well as mid-cap and AIM listed shares. It is prepared to lend against alternative investment products, insurance policies, structured investment products, as well as movable assets such as aircraft and yachts.
