The economic outlook for Spain remains generally positive as unemployment levels remain low and the housing market continues to flatten out.
Jose Luis Malo de Molina, director general del servicio de Estudio at Banco de Espana, said: "There has been fast growth in immigration and intense employment generation. On top of this there has been an increase in real and financial assets, which has helped to increase wealth in families. Employment is also growing at around 3% and the unemployment rate has dropped to 9%."
He added the average annual house price growth dropped to 17%, helping to correct an overpricing in the market.
