Friends Provident International (FPI) launched two new offshore funds listed in Guernsey to add to an...
Rob Maxwell, international marketing manager, said of the fund: "It aims to provide an investment medium for people who do not regard financial gain as the sole criterion for investment.
"Investment is concentrated in companies whose products and operations are considered to be making a positive contribution to society and seeks to avoid companies which, on balance, are felt to be harming
the world, its people or its wildlife."
He added: "Friends Provident is the undisputed UK market leader in ethical investments, managing around 50% of the entire market. Research has shown that while many non-UK resident investors like our current UK Stewardship Ethical fund, they would like exposure to a more globally diversified fund. This offering fits the bill."
The UK Index Tracker fund aims to replicate the FTSE 100 Index by investing in every stock within it.
Maxwell said: "The UK Index-Tracker Fund is a response to the increasing popularity of this type of investment in the UK and overseas."
Both funds are available through FPI's Guernsey-based unit linked product portfolio.
The initial charge is 6% of the offer price with an annual management fee of 1%.
